Hello parents and carers,
After 17 years of wonderful service to the children of St. Anne's School it time for Mr. Smallbone to hang up her Mortar Board and Chalk (or Interactive Whiteboard Pens as they are these days) and spend some quality time for herself.
Margaret has worked tirelessly since September 1998 helping the young people of Ormskirk.and has thoroughly, thoroughly earned the right to take it a little easier and enjoy a rather more peaceful existence!! Margaret has taught right across the curriculum range - though her educational "passions" are Maths and History which she has genuinely loved teaching.
Margaret has a very active family life and she is really looking forward to being able to engage with that enjoyment to an even fuller extent!
Apart from being a wonderful asset to the school for her educational commitment, Margaret is a brilliant colleague - and the staff of the school are greatly saddened at losing the smile that she brings to school every day - but are delighted for her individually. She always brightens the workplace with her friendliness and unique brand of humour which will be greatly missed here - though we rather hope and expect that she will continue to frequently "pop in" and keep us all under check!
On your behalf as parents and children and on behalf of the staff and governors we wish you, Margaret a long and happy retirement - and every happiness which you deserve!
Margaret will be easy to spot this afternoon - she's the one beaming with an energy rather greater than the sun just now!! All the best Margaret!!
Kind regards
