Dear Parents, due to the high demand for places, especially in year 3 ( 27 pupils ) I have taken cross country, around the school field, during our P.E. lessons. The course at the cross country, Tarleton High school-11th May, is approx. 3-4 laps of our school field. I set the year 3's the challenge of completing 3 laps-without stopping and walking-to show them how hard the event is ( year 4 today). I will ask the top 8 boys and girls from the year to attend, and try to arrange transport for those who need it, I am reluctant to invite the pupils who struggled to run the 3 laps, as the actual event is harder and we do not put that much pressure on pupils in sporting events. I hope you understand the logic behind this decision. Cross country is the Hardest sporting event we do! The first two members of each team count towards the team score. Letters will go out tonight to year 3 and 4 pupils selected, thanks Mr Thomas.
