Hello parents and carers,
I just wanted to publicly thank a great servant of our school:
Pauline Harrison had been the lollipop lady safely guiding children across the zebra crossing for many years. She has always carried out her work with great respect, humour and care for the children. After well in excess of a decade holding back the Aughton Street traffic - Pauline has decided to hang up her lollipop stick and pass the task over to someone else.
Pauline - we really appreciate the wonderful way you have kept the children and parents safe. We know it can be a tricky crossing - and you've always been reliably there making sure its safe to cross. Thank you so much for your kindness, care and dedication. There have been a few occasions when, apart from the regular manner when you guide children across you've saved a number of potentially very harmful situations.
We all owe you a tremendous debt of gratitude!! Happy Lollipop Retirement!!!
Pauline will continue to work as co-site manager with her husband Marcus - but passes this task on to another safe pair of hands.
Kind regards
Joe White Headteacher
