Hello parents and carers,
Its been lovely to see the children settling back into their new classes - and they all deserve much praise for doing so well.
We are continuing to watch to see how the release of Year 4 and 6 children from the front of school works out. We feel we would prefer to have them leave school in a more visible place - though we are watching how crowded it gets there. Like anything new - we'll keep it going for a while to see how it works out. I suspect we need to ask the St. Bede's siblings to hang a little further back so that parents can be seen a little easier - though we'll manage that.
As a separate issue, we have, again, been approached by local residents who have complained about cars being parked inappropriately.
Quite obviously I have no authority over car drivers outside our school - and nor would I wish to - but on behalf of local residents I am appealing for courtesy with regard to that (as I have no doubt the vast majority of folks display in spadesful!) Please try not to block resident in when you're dropping the children off. It is tricky - since its very tight - we understand that!
Its great to see the Reception children starting to commence their "big school" experience - and a special welcome to all our new Reception children and parents.
So far so good - a very good start to what I hope and believe will be a very good term.
Regards
Joe White Headteacher

Hello parents and carers,
Not trying to cause any offence to the families of St. Bede's children - or indeed the St. Bede's children themselves here!
We warmly welcome our St. Bede's siblings back to come and collect brothers and sisters. They are always very polite and pleased to see everyone from St. Anne's!
They have their job to do - picking up brothers and sisters and my comment is simply a reflection on their eagerness to do a good job of collecting younger brothers and sisters - some can get very close to the doors making the room for children to get out of school very compact. They aren't being bad or unpleasant - just eager!
A couple of meters slightly further back is what we're aiming for!
Kind regards
Joe White
