Dear Parents, We are due to play our last round of football fixtures tomorrow, at Ormskirk High-I will give letters out today.
This should be week 4 of the league fixtures but following last weeks cancellation, we are trying to arrange another date.
I am not sure whether we play our week 3 fixtures or our week 4 matches tomorrow. In week 4 both my A and B Teams play the current leaders-Town Green.
For those matches we must have our tightest team available-those who work back to defend!
When I receive conformation of the fixtures I can select the A and B Teams-the squad will stay the same as last week.
The District Rugby event is due the 18th March-this is a Saturday, 9.50-1.30 pm, at Ormskirk Rugby Club. This is a school games qualifier for Blackpool, and we must have a minimum of 3 girls on the pitch at all times. I was hoping that we could take 2 teams to the event, but it seems the footballers are concerned about Saturday League fixtures-as this is an Ormskirk school District event I would have though Saturday football could be postponed and re-arranged-this has happened in the past, but we shall see! I will give out letters for this event and then select from those available.
The composite relay-Cross Country-is on 22nd March at Ormskirk High School-4.00-5.30 pm. This event is for the best 3 boys and girls in each year to make up a team of 4 pupils-one from each year, who run a relay around a cross country course, we usually take 3 or 4 teams, of boys and girls=24 to 32 pupils.
I will take the year 3 and 4's for cross country, in P.E. the year 5 and 6's have ran their cross country-I will select the best runners from that event.
I still have no date for Girls football-Liverpool Cup at Rainhill!
Thanks Mr. Thomas.
